VELUX skylights are available in a variety of glazing options, each designed to meet the needs of specific building situations. All VELUX skylight glazings are built using energy efficient, LoE3, Argon gas injected dual glass panes. Laminated Glass Laminated glass features a triple-layer of LoE coating for increased energy efficiency plus a laminated pane for added safety and protection from fade-causing UV rays. Laminated glass can also be combined with other energy efficient options for even greater performance. Tempered Glass Tempered glass consists of tempered safety glass triple-coated with LoE3, dual-sealed and injected with Argon gas. This quality glass provides excellent energy efficiency, thermal performance and protects against the sun’s fade causing rays. White Laminated Glass White laminated glass provides diffused daylight and features a triple-layer of LoE coating for increased energy efficiency plus a laminated pane for added safety and protection from fade-causing UV rays. White laminated glass can also be combined with other energy efficient options for even greater performance.
FCM Curb Model The patented FCM curb mounted fixed skylight is sized to work with all types of site-built curbs, whether they’re slightly out-of-square, pre-existing, or surrounded by unusually thick flashing and roofing material. Heavy-duty materials ensure the FCM skylight is built to withstand the installation process, as well as anything Mother Nature throws its way.
VCM Designed for curb mounted installations, the VCM manual venting skylight enables any home to embrace the best of what nature has to offer. Opening for maximum fresh air, the venting skylight contributes to a home’s proper moisture balance and comfort level by allowing stale, humid air to be released.
FS Fixed Skylight The FS fixed skylight, designed for deck mounted installations, is perfect for visually expanding areas such as hallways, stairwells, and other closed-in, dark spaces that can be transformed with light and sky views. It provides an economical choice in creating a spacious home that is filled with natural light.
FS Deck Mount The VELUX deck mounted product family is now designated The No Leak Skylight. It carries the new 10-year installation warranty plus 20 years on glass, 10 years on product, and five years on blinds and controls. Features include 3 layers of water protection – advanced LoE3 glass for better energy efficiency, higher visible light transmittance, and improved solar heat gain performance – money-saving pre-finished white frames and sashes – pre-mounted brackets for quick installation of sunscreen blinds – lower roof profile with an updated curved architectural design – and a neutral gray color to blend with most roof materials and colors.
